Pine Lake boulder Cont....

Just another addition to this massive boulder. There could possibly be over 20 lines on this single block when all is said and done. This one is a short burly little thing called "Baby's Batter" v9ish

I have spend more time hiking and cleaning in the last month then I care to tell. Finally, built up a reservoir of projects and it's time for destiny. Be on the lookout, hide your projects... just kidding. Show the world, and always keep it REAL!!!

Pine Lake Boulder

Development continues on one of thew largest boulders I have seen in the Southern Adirondacks. Naturally with massive boudlers, you get some quality highball boulder problems. This video shows 1 of 3 new highball additions to the massive block!

Returned today to double check my hype. Took some more pics that never give an accurate feel. There are of course lots of blank faces worthless boulders n all but if we can maintain good access this place will be pretty sweet. Good on you pisser! Nice find.

New Area! Sketchy Access!

Some of us put in a ton of time trying to find new areas. One on such trip a local super star stopped to take a piss in the woods and stumbled upon what i think is the best potential find since snowy or boulderwoods. Many years back I climbed a few routes at a small cliff with good lines on it, know as Fried Man's Reallity. While i remember there being a bunch of boulders in the area i was turned off to heading back years later when i had heard of the bouldering by who was telling me. Last summer my dog and I headed in to this area but somehow (yet again) missed this boulderfeild by a few hundered feet. This area has the potential to be the next adk destination! The only issue is the access. We tried to secure access to this area back in the day for the few routes that are here but never where able to. A few people had gotten permission to climb so that was enough for the limited number of people who would go there.
So i will post up a few pics of boulders that do not do the place justice as always. If you visit please be mind full of the neighboors by keeping it low key. Please report back any activity. You can find the location in map below.

Had some trouble uploading the latest video...check it out through the link above. Largest boulder I have seen in the immediate area, looking forward to the other potential lines.

More new lines at Nine

Here's a video of a couple new problems at Nine Corners. They are located on the Bid Kahuna boulder, below the cave wall. Two very high quality problems. Bromance turned out as one of the best hard lines at Nine. I think the line goes at v10 but will have to see more ascents to confirm the grade. Good on ya mate's.

Green Lake Boulders

Here are the remaining videos

Green Lake Boulders

So we followed up on the Green Lake Boulder post and checked these boulders out 2 weeks ago. After some cleaning and routine preparation, some really good boulder problems have been unearthed. So far, there are 12 problems on the two main boulders. If you're in the area, they are definately worth the 5 min hike from the Cane Mtn. trailhead parking. The smaller boulder has 8 problems ranging from V0-V5, while the larger boulder boasts some climbs a bit more difficult. All of the established lines seem to climb really well considering both boulders have overhanging sides with holds (what more could you ask for?)...The video shows (in order shown) a stellar V6 called "Live Free or Die", consensus puts this as one of the best V6's in the Aridondack Park; "Evil Empire" which is a nice V7/8 boulder problem up a dihedral feature that climbs really well, and a V3 traverse on the same boulder.

Gull Pond

Steep boulder at gull pond

Gull Pond - bad photo

Gull Pond.
Another cool area waiting for some new lines. There are enough lines and rock here that needs to be developed to keep you busy for sometime. Some great looking steep rock. It will be a true adirondack bouldering experience.

Gnarnia

So I took a look at Gnarnia today. There are two outstanding boulders. The overhung boulder with the landing built is pretty sweet. I think there is room for one more line. The other is the first boulder you come to up the hill. The ROCK IS SWEET. I'm not real sure why but i think this is a great boulder. I didn't get on any of the lines but I am excited to head back (in 17 months!)...
As an area it is not a destination just due to the lack of problems. It is well worth the short hike up the hill and I would recommend stopping if you are any where in the area.
I want to Thank the guys over at weekendbouldering again for finding the area but most importantly for sharing it. As a community we are way to stingy and worried about someone eles stealing our lines. I do think that hey you took the time to find an area or clean a line you should have some resepectable to time to send but far to often this leads to a lack of sharing of cool spots. I now an area south of us was recently chipped becasue it was shared but this is the exception and not the rule.

Anyway a bit of a rant there... here are a couple of pics.

This is just a super good looking boulder to me.

The Big Guy with a great platform (thank again to the guys over at weekendbouldering).
I also talked to the owner of the marina and he was very very nice. Please stop in and ask where you should park and let him know how much we appreciate the access.
I'll try to post up some more info and good directions soon.
Happy Sending!!
