The line in the picture, how is that going?

the line in the picture is easy. The top needs to be cleaned and a nice rain is needed to fall so the boulder can be topped out. Secondly, there is not "20 problems" on that boulder- 4 independent lines with maybe one hard line - everything else pretty mellow.

For the guy giving that place an 8, have you climbed anywhere? This place is a good after work spot if you live in the LG.

I was giving that rating based off of the "potential of an area" scale. 8 being "boulders with holds". And even mellow lines are still lines...

8 out of what? How would you rate the pond? This place is 2 or 3. Yes, mellow lines are still lines - though driving over an hour from albany to climb a 5.2 slab is a bit of waste of time given how close you are to other bouldering areas.
The 4 independent lines are worth doing though and in 17 months we shall go back - heal up buddy!

Potential of an area
1 - I saw a rock
3 - I saw a Rock that was big.
5 - I think there is a 50% chance of bouldering in the area.
7 - There are boulders in the area but i can not confirm the quality of possiblity of holds
8 - Boulders + Holds
9 - I am pretty amped on the bouldering I will be doing here
10 - This will be a bouldering area

it's in the footer...

Have to agree with the 8. Boulders holds n lines. Not a destination but a great little spot. There should be 20 gd lines all together.

I am gonna have to go with anonymous - maybe after you guys climb for a few years you will understand - also this will not be a bouldering area - if you live close by it is a nice after work spot. It is nothing in comparison to the pond , gunks, nine, snowy.

I agree that it won't be a Nine, Pond or Gunks, but I think that, if anything, it's comparable to Snowy. There's only like 38 problems at Snowy, 15 or so of outstanding quality and the rest being easy or piles.

It's an area that you boulder at, put simply. I'll admit it's not "the area", but it deserves some better recognition.
